Kundalini Yoga, Morning Practice

In Workshop by Kathryn

Led by Heinrich Mayr

In many yogic and tantric traditions the Kundalini refers to a form of primal energy said to be located at the base of the spine in the form of a sleeping snake which can be awakened and raised through the main channel (spinal cord). In more modern language it could be described as a basic life force which can be sublimed into a higher state of consciousness.

In Kundalini Yoga we try to open and prepare the body for this awakening by physical exercises, breathwork and meditations.
In this morning practice we will do a short series of Kundalini Yoga exercises with mantras and breathing to activate Kundalini energy and build awareness of these energetic processes.
