Facilitator, Educator, Community Builder, Entrepreneur
Amy is a passionate connector with a natural instinct towards big vision and action. With 20 years professional experience, she has worked with over 11,000 adults and youth in North America, Europe and Africa designing and facilitating trainings, community-building events, coaching programs, personal-development and leadership-development retreats.
Amy is committed to bringing people together through play, connection, self-expression and creativity. Her passion for human connection, growth and community led her to establish and grow The Connection Movement, a community that comes together and dives into self-discovery, transformation and deep, earnest connection.
Through Amy’s unique blend of Improvisational Theater, Creative Drama, Circling, Authentic Relating, Mindfulness, and Nonviolent Communication, The Connection Movement offers workshops, coaching programs, social experiments, and retreats, including Connection Camp – an annual four day, three night adult summer camp.
Amy is proud to have initiated and grown similar communities in South Africa (Johannesburg & Cape Town), Florida (Miami) and South Carolina (Charleston). A native Chicagoan, she now calls Brooklyn, NYC, “home”, where she can often be found dancing, eating dumplings, and belting out show tunes.
